FollowUp Leads operates as a dual Lead Management and Field Service Management platform designed for service businesses (such as RO repair, pest control, electrical, and HVAC maintenance). It enables admins to manage leads, auto-assign service jobs, and track daily field operations. Field technicians use the app to view assigned jobs, navigate to customer locations, upload completed job photos, track inventory used, and collect customer signatures and payments on-site.
We collect personal information necessary to manage user profiles, dispatch technicians, and handle lead records:
Name & Contact Information: Name, mobile number, and email address of users and technicians.
Business Details: Business name, office address, and service categories.
Customer Lead Data: Customer contact details, service site addresses, and job requests submitted to the CRM.
To deliver core field automation features, the app accesses specific device capabilities:
Location Data (Foreground & Background): We collect precise and approximate location data (via ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION, ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION, and ACCESS_BACKGROUND_LOCATION). This location data is collected to enable real-time technician dispatch, nearest worker job allocation, live navigation, and automated customer job site check-ins/check-outs even when the app is closed or not in active use.
Call Log Data: We access call records (via READ_CALL_LOG and READ_PHONE_STATE) solely for the Automated Lead Capture system, programmatically retrieving caller details to populate lead records without requiring manual entry during active sales calls.
Camera & Storage: Accessed to allow technicians to take and upload photos of completed service work, scan job items, and store customer digital signatures on site.
Device Identifiers: Unique device IDs, FCM tokens, and device hardware details for push notifications and account authentication.
We use the collected information exclusively to facilitate field service operations and lead management:
Real-Time Technician Dispatching: Background location tracks on-duty technicians so office administrators can assign urgent service requests (such as RO or pest control calls) to the nearest available worker in real time.
Automated Job Site Check-Ins: Location tracking automatically logs arrival and departure times at customer job sites when the technician's device is locked or running other apps, ensuring accurate service records.
Automated Lead Capture: Programmatically identifies inbound callers to instantly log potential customer leads into the CRM.
Job Proof & Proof of Service: Captures customer digital signatures, job completion photos, and inventory usage reports for job invoicing.
FollowUp Leads requires background location access to perform live dispatch tracking and automated job site check-ins. When installing or launching the app for the first time, users are presented with a Prominent In-App Disclosure explaining that location data is accessed even when the app is closed or not in use. Background location tracking is strictly active only while a field technician is marked on-duty.
